This week's theme is R&B Classics with Usher, in case you haven't heard. It could be interesting, I think Usher will be a good mentor and I'm interested in what Crystal, Siobhan, Didi, Lee, and even what Aaron will choose to sing. Anyways, I decided to post today to share some of the Idol blogs and news I read and videos I watch during the week.
- My favorite Idol video blog is Idol Soul on youtube. It is made by Mollie Evans and I find her to be entertaining and honest and I usually agree with her opinions. She usually posts 2 videos a week, one after each episode of Idol. The video's are something to subside your 'Idol' craving during the 5 days it isn't on TV. Here's one of her videos:
- Next up is a very informative blog all about American Idol and it's contestants. It is called MJ's Big Blog. I follow this guy on Twitter(@mjsbigblog) for constant updates, it is a very informative site for all things "Idol" so check it out if you're interested!
- Finally, my favorite weekly Idol fix comes from EW.com and their head American Idol critic/writer/reviewer, Michael Slezak and the weekly "Idolatry" videos. Slezak's recaps are always brutally honest and hilarious, and he's a guy that really knows what he is talking about. And as for the "Idolatry" videos, they are sometimes better than the actual American Idol performance shows. Click on this link for this week's Idolatry: Awesomeness (embedding is disabled btw.)
Oh and one last thing, I read this article in USA Today:
The doomsday scenario: How Tim Urban wins 'American Idol'
It horrified me by detailing how Tim Urban could be the eventual Idol Champion of 2010. It makes some scarily realistic points, we need to make sure that this does not happen. Anyways, that's it for today, leave any comments or suggestions below and see you back here tomorrow or early Wednesday for the recap!
